Career History
Although I have worked in the tourism industry for the past 10 years or more in major events and infrastructure development, my life before was in property development and town planning. Many people frown when they know my educated background is town planning and wonder how I got into tourism. My short time at the Adelaide Convention Bureau has been very enjoyable. I am proud to be associated with a hard working and dedicated team that produces outstanding results.

Greatest Achievement
I’m sure my greatest achievement is still around the corner. However, to date I have enjoyed raising three young children with my wife and can’t get enough of most sports, with my pick being Australia’s favourite summer sport – ‘cricket’ of course!

Favourite Pastime
Away from work it is great to spend quality time with family, this means racing around with the kids for sport and activities on the weekend, along with watching sport live or on the box.

Favourite South Australian Holiday Destination
There are not too many places I haven’t visited in SA due to my work in tourism - Eyre Peninsula for its seafood and marine life is great for a family holiday and the Outback with its diversity of experiences is amazing.

However…….the Kitto family has had a holiday home at Port Willunga on the Fleurieu Peninsula for more than 50 years. I have many fond memories staying at Port Willunga Beach during the school holidays. It is great that my family and friends now also get to share this incredible place.

Favourite Adelaide or South Australian Dining Experience
We recently visited the Barossa Valley, stand out experiences were visiting Murdoch and Whistler wineries. Murdoch was most enjoyable, how can you beat a glass of fine Barossa shiraz an array of tasty tapas overlooking the Barossa Valley.

Adelaide as a Destination
It continually astounds me that when people visit Adelaide South Australia, they can’t get enough of it and wish they could stay longer. Our warm and friendly welcome plays a big part in a visitor’s experience.
