Peter Duldig, Referral and Communications Officer

Career History
I have been in a similar role at the Adelaide Convention Bureau for nearly 15 years. In a past life I was a banker and worked for the Commercial Bank/Westpac for 26 years in various branches (most of which are now closed) around SA.

Greatest Achievement
Went back to study in 1992 after leaving the Bank and undertook a three year Diploma in Business (Tourism) at Adelaide TAFE. Did extremely well and found the course stimulating and interesting. At 42 was the oldest person in the class but was well accepted and respected. I was able to assist and mentor several overseas students.

Favourite Pastime
Definitely gardening I have established three gardens over my lifetime- one in the Mallee and two suburban gardens. I find it relaxing - however soursobs are a challenge!

Favourite South Australian Holiday Destination
The Fleurieu Peninsula – just on Adelaide’s doorstep. There are wineries, beaches, coastal scenery, forests, quiet retreats and bustling holiday towns with quality accommodation and restaurants. Great for a weekend getaway

Favourite Adelaide or South Australian Dining Experience
Jetty Road Brighton – close to home with a range of relaxed eateries- good for a lazy breakfast, long lunch or a relaxed dinner

Adelaide as a Destination
Compactness, ease of access to points of interest. A great range of accommodation, restaurants and attractions.
