Whilst it is still early days the feedback from DSA17 is quite positive. The hosted guests survey is still out in the field, but early reports are indicating that the guests were extremely satisfied with the event and, as it currently sits 100% say the event has changed their perception as a business events destination.

They are more likely or much more likely to pitch Adelaide as a business events destination than before. This means another 43 advocates that South Australia has secured and will hopefully lean upon to make a favourable decision for the destination.

However this is only half of the story. The Bureau is keen to understand how the exhibitors felt the event went. Shortly a link to a survey will be sent to all those involved. It’s imperative that genuine feedback is received so the event can keep moving forward and it’s reputation among the hosted guests is continued. So please respond honestly and let us know what worked, what didn’t and what could be improved upon.

Once we’ve secured both elements of feedback we’ll provide a full summary of how the event went and what it meant for the destination. Fear not we’ll be sure to make up a flashy infographic to highlight some of the key learnings. Gotta keep up with the latest trends!!

They say you are only as good as the story you have to tell and Adelaide has a great story tell right now. Be it the $5 billion investment into the Riverbank redevelopment, the newest convention centre in the country, some massive events coming up later in the year or the recent awakening of Adelaide as an incentive destination in Asia – there is a bit to choose from. Recruiting is always a fun challenge, so if you are that diamond out there that we should know about, brush yourself off and get in touch because it’s time to shine.

This role has been made available because the delightful Jacqui Lloyd has decided to swap the Shiraz for a Sav Blanc and head back to the home land. After being headhunted for numerous weeks Jacqui finally relented and will be leaving the Bureau in late May to head up an RTO in New Zealand. So whilst it feels like we just said Kia Ora only recently I guess we’ll be saying it again!
